I have dredged a lot in Alaska in the winter a good dry suit worked good for me . I always used a good Harvey's suit I have dredged in weather as cold as -6 below kept plenty warm in the water when you get out it gets pretty cool.

Bathwater temperature;

The PID controller can be set to maintain the appropriate bathwater temperature...

Normal Human body temperature is 97 degrees F to 99 degrees F. Bathwater temperature is recommended to be about 2 degrees F more. Depending on individual preference, a range from 100 degrees F to as much as 109 degrees F.

Ok, yes they took my crayons away!! No I am not a two year old. I can see it clearly in my minds eye, getting it on paper is another thing entirely!!


Off the pump will be an inline filter to remove sediment with a reusable filter that can be easily removed and cleaned.
Off the inline filter will be a "Y" brass valve, with flow control on both legs.
I plan on using washer hot water hose from the "Y" to the copper tubing. Copper tubing will have a 3/4" male to connect to the end of the hot water hose from the "Y".
Copper tubing will slip over the muffler and held in place with hose clamps to minimize rattling and preserve my sanity.
A 3/4" male fitting will be on the discharge end of the copper tubing, it will connect to a hot water hose.
The hot water hose will connect to the mixing container at the top. Behind the connection will be a valve that will control the flow into the mixing container.
At the bottom of the mixing container will be a 3/4" male connector that will be attached to the other leg of the "Y" off the pump. The amount of cold water mixed with the hot can be regulated to insure proper temperature.
The outflow will be sent through a tempering valve to prevent scalding water from going to the diver.
I would like to have all the mixing tank/tanks mounted to a plate that can be attached to the dredge deck.

I looked it over...

The exhaust temperature will exceed 212 degrees F... (Farenheit)...

When water boils... This is when the O... S... moment will occur.

As bubbles of steam migrate to the wet suit, chickenminer's prophesy will come to pass...

With luck, you'll spend the rest of the season wrapped up in the burn trauma center in Anchorage.

O ye of little faith! I agree there is some risk but I believe that a well designed, well maintained system can be operated safely. I think that the hot entering the top and the cold water entering the bottom should prevent any chance of steam ending up in the line. The addition of the tempering valve as the last step should be sufficient to stop any steam.
They sell them in the state of California and God knows given the opportunity someone would have sued!
