Sinking a shaft!

Post by Geowizard » Sat Apr 11, 2020 5:30 pm

Hi Guys and Gals,

GOLD mining sometimes requires sinking a shaft. :o

So, here's an opportunity to ask questions and learn about the art and science of shaft sinking.

Sinking a shaft starts where a GOLD prospector decides all of the prerequisites fall into place. Whether in the desert or in the far north, a good geologic setting combined with positive sampling results help to establish where to begin.

For a good reference on how to begin, Ask Jeff Williams: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAcElBWErT0

That's right! So, C'mon, Let's Go! :)

Here is another video of it being done. The guy in the video is no longer with us. It is a 4 part series, I just posted the first one for reference.
