Yes I have read that. One of the furnaces I purchased from Devil Forge uses a ceramic fiber for the insulation. He provides a powder refractory mixture to apply over the ceramic fiber. The fiber material seems to be holding up quite well and will be very easy to replace with new when it starts failing.
