Southeast Alaska, the panhandle doesn't get much mention here on the Forum.
The panhandle extends from Haines, a gold rich region to the south to Ketchican. There are many mines located on the islands that comprise the network of islands. Alaska DGGS has done geophysical surveys that cover this area and the surveys reveal many undiscovered Gold deposits. There are geothermal (hydrothermal) hot springs in seawater that contain gold!
