We're gonna rob this joint!"
Hi Guys and Gals,
Some viewers love him and others maybe not.
Parker's GOLD mining career began at the age of 5.
Parker first appeared in Season 1 (2010-2011) of Gold Rush Alaska at age 15.
By 16, he was leading a team of miners twice his age.
At 18 he left home and moved up to the Klondike and leased ground from Tony Beets.
"Instead of attending college, he used his college fund to set up his own mining operation, and found an impressive 1,029 ounces of gold, worth a total of $1.4 million, in his rookie season in the Klondike."
Parker has mined a total of over $13 Million dollars worth of GOLD by the age of 24.
Now the 25 year old miner is determined to expand his operation - mining year-round in Australia.

Re: We're gonna rob this joint!"
Nobody leased ground from Beets --------- Beets is only the caretaker / manager for Tamarack Mining and as such he is only the collector of the Gold for the owner. A few years ago, when they needed more contrived drama, THE actual owner of Tamarack came in to have a 'secret meeting' with Parker behind closed doors. Simply to thicken the plot.
Beets may have his own mining operations elsewhere but the owner of Tamarack he certainly isn't.

Business 101;
In a commercial mining operation, "people" are the faces that represent mining entities. When a lease, purchase or any other negotiation takes place, people with the authority to conduct the negotiations are at the table - and at times, in front of a camera. An entity like Tamarack, Inc. is invisible. Tony Beets is a director aka "Mine Boss" at Tamarack, Inc. and apparently has authority to negotiate leases or other business for the company.
Entities like Tamarack, Inc. have bank accounts. Checks are written by people to other entities. Entities pay their bills by checks or bank transfers made by people. The members of a corporation conduct business on behalf of the corporation.
"Southeast Road Builders, Inc.
Southeast Road Builders is one of Parker’s companies. Like the name suggests it is a construction company. It is currently run by his father, Roger Schnabel.
"His main source of income has been from the Big Nugget Mine that he inherited from his grandfather. Most of the earnings from the series are invested in purchasing more equipment for the show and upgrading the available ones.
How many companies does Parker own?
Parker Schnabel currently owns two companies; the family’s company Big Nugget Mine and the Little Flick Mining Company in Arizona."

In my companies, I am the "Mine Boss". I am the president and managing member of four LLC's that control property, mining, exploration, and instrumentation.
Stick around! There's more!

Re: We're gonna rob this joint!"
No, in this case THE OWNER makes all the decisions and Beets carries them out. Simple, straight forward with no mysterious corporate obfuscation.
Some still watch that show - I, personally, bailed out long ago and don't miss it.

Business 102;
There are reports published by Canadian Government agencies. One report discusses placer GOLD operations. The Tamarack, Inc operation is number 41. It is owned by Tony Beets. He and his family have owned and operated it for a quarter of a century.
Yukon placers: Pages 41, 43, 72.
https://emrlibrary.gov.yk.ca/ygs/yukon_ ... /03_06.pdf
Other sources discuss Yukon Gold Mines and the casual observer may learn more about how large mining corporations are organized. Ownership in "Public" companies includes shareholders. There may be thousands of owners. Public companies are required to follow financial and regulator rules in Canada.
Private entities, not traded on the open exchange, are owned and managed by the members of the corporation.

Private corporate entities like Tamarack are less regulated.
Paradise Hill:
Does Tony Beets own the mine?
The Paradise Hill claim is located at Paradise Hill, in the Klondike region of the Yukon in Canada. It is a mining claim owned by Tony Beets, where the Beets Crew operates.

Re: We're gonna rob this joint!"
Well, somewhere there's a mouse in the woodpile.
All that misinformation in the early shows must have included some sort of 'creative ownership' to increase the viewership.
Makes me even more content not watching that series and just dealing with my own 'dramas' on my own claim.

Re: We're gonna rob this joint!"
My objective in this thread is purely for discussion of the views of a miner versus the narrative where a few have gained personal fortune playing on the vulnerability of others.
The producers have taken the series to a point where viewers are asking, "What is the next play?" The program reaches a climax and viewers are left hanging. Through-out the series, interest was driven with a rewind back to previous scenes and driving ahead into the next.
It will be interesting to see if they keep up the momentum! The question we might ask Is whether or not Parker is going to take off directing his own show and drop the Discovery Network!
