Did I miss something? What does NATO have in common with mining?

Hmmmm - Something happened - Something Bad happened.
I had referenced and posted the fact that 6 December is National Miners' Day - and that post somehow "morphed" into some NATO site. Something squirrelly going on here.
This is what I had originally posted and which showed up when I checked the post:
For all miners (from all countries), Past, Present and Future:
National Miners' Day - Dec 6 Greysilk_left
National Miners' Day - Dec 6 Banner_02
National Miners' Day - Dec 6 Banner_02
(The picture just didn't make it here this time)
The effort to create a commemorative National Miner's Day, on December 6, was successful.
First it was introduced in the United States House of Representatives by Congressman Rahall, Congresswoman Capito, and Congressman Mollohan.
It was adopted there and went on to the Senate.
Sponsored by Senator Byrd, Senator Rockefeller, and Senator Reid, resolution was passed by the United States Senate on December 3, 2009.
Thanks to the thousands of people who believe it is important to recognize the contributions of miners to the well being of all.

Maybe this time it'll show as I posted it.

NATO, Russia and Ukraine;
In the news;
Ukraine is rich in mineral deposits, including iron ore (of which it once produced 50 percent of the entire Soviet output), manganese ore (of which it produced 40 percent of world output during the Soviet era), mercury, titanium, and nickel.
Ukraine has extremely rich and complementary mineral resources in high concentrations and close proximity to each other. The country has abundant reserves of coal, iron ore, natural gas, manganese, salt, oil, graphite, sulfur, kaolin, titanium, nickel, magnesium, timber, and mercury.
Happy Miner's Day!
