DREDGERS: Looking for a better way to splice suction hoses? I found a reasonably easy and inexpensive way to make an EXTERNAL HOSE SPLICE:

I've tried it... works great as long as you keep the splice underwater. Will also work above water by wraping ends with tape so air can't get in.
