FRIENDS, MINERS, PROSPECTORS, COUNTRYMEN:

The miners in Oregon & California are slipping off the edge of NO RETURN with State Legislation PROHIBITING MANY FORMS OF MINING - in particular, most if not all forms of mechanized or motorized in-stream placer mining... including on Lands of the United States open to mining under the 1872 Mining Law!

Currently, our hopes for salvation lie in our Petition to the U.S. Supreme Court in the BOHMKER v OREGON case after receiving a 2-1 Decision by the U.S. 9th Circuit who ruled that the ban on motorized equipment is not a prohibition on mining as miners are still free to mine by hand!

And... Don't think YOU are safe just because you might be in the Great State of Alaska, you are still within the jurisdiction of the U.S. 9th Circuit!

In order to fund the Waldo & Galice Mining District's fight to save mining the Western Culture Conservancy (WCC) is holding a SERIES OF TWO DRAWINGS to raise the needed funds for the WMD & GMD to stay in the fight (for more information on the Drawings please see our Post in the Political Forum, or go to WWW.WALDOMININGDISTRICT.ORG or WWW.WESTERNCULTURECONSERVANCY.ORG)

Although we have many other prizes arranged (and more coming), we really want to be able to offer many more GOLD PRIZES... and that's where YOU come in.
