Here is what 5 oz of NZ beach gold looks like in a blanket sluice.

This was posted by a guy named KiwiGold whose boiler box setup inspired Mike Pung to invent the Gold Cube.
In the photo, every square inch has a ton of gold in it, so clearly the capacity of such a setup is quite high, and of course, the speed is low. But who cares.
Processing and cleanup speed are not a problem when you're getting 5 OZ of -30 flour gold, lol.
My point is---it doesn't need to be fancy or new technology if you know what you're doing.
Have a great day everyone.

Trev is a great example of a guy designing a recovery system tailored to his specific need.
Nope, it sure doesn't have to be fancy or new technology. The basic principles of gravity recovery haven't
changed. New technology has just made it easier to screen material, adjust water flow and adapt the plethora of
capturing medium available today.

PickaxeCA,
Nice photo and well composed! It doesn't get much prettier than that!
The image takes us back a few years. The days of kiwigold and all of the stories of NZ beach gold, interesting places on the beach with kids and folks and fun and GOLD. Nope... the Cube had not been invented yet. With all that GOLD, who needed a Cube? Nice to reflect on those days of yore!
Thanks!
