Big Nugget Gold!
Hi Guys and Gals!
Let's talk about my favorite subject... Big Nuggets!
There are in fact localities known for Big Nuggets. Gold is rare and big nuggets are very rare! Big nuggets DO exist in Alaska. So, in this thread we have an opportunity to discuss "where" and "how" to get on big nugget GOLD!
Stick around while we dive into the subject of how and why and where!

Re: Big Nugget Gold!
Nuggets.... Biggest one I have ever found was less than 1 gram.... Just a byproduct of the ground I am mining. Guys upstream find up to 10 grammers but not where I am at....

Re: Big Nugget Gold!
Nuggets are like children;
Those of us that are fortunate enough to be fathers know the pride we have in our children! The same can be said for nuggets! We miners take pride in the discoveries we make and keep the more special discoveries at hand to show others. Nuggets are relative naturally. A one-gram nugget is definitely a nugget!
In areas known for small gold, a one-gram nugget is an important discovery and worthy of all the attention it can be given. Nuggets are part of a larger family! It scales up the hunt. Larger nuggets are significant because they represent "proof positive" that a significant GOLD deposit is lurking nearby. That's not to say small GOLD is not significant. There are many areas where fortunes have been made on small GOLD. Large GOLD is significant because it indicates a more robust deposit is nearby that has the desired characteristics to produce more - larger GOLD - a product from a deposit having robust "dynamics". It's an indication you are sniffing along the right trail!
Good luck Slatco!
