Good to see you posting! Did you get the new V3 dish w/o the drive motors for the second dish?
Would love to see you post some of your floater videos on the Videos Thread !!

Re: Starlink system
They sent the same antenna as last time, motorized.
I’ll have to look at videos, I’m not thinking I have made too many or at least not quality drone videos of the multiple changes that have taken place with the setup on the floater.

Re: Starlink system
Another point I thought was worth a mention, when I got the Starlink working at camp it worked great… inside of camp (a metal sided trailer) but did not work very well outside in the camp yard, the router signal was weak and not liking the metal siding on camp, a few weeks later I moved the Starlink modem to a window sill looking out at the camp yard, problem solved after that the signal in the camp yard is 100% , my fuel storage area is about 100 yards from camp and the wifi is within range there and works just fine.

Re: Starlink system
As Starlink deploys more polar orbiting LEO satellites the coverage and speed for those of us in Alaska just keeps getting better. Here is my typical speed these days.
When I first got Starlink over a year ago the obstruction map on the Starlink app always showed areas of obstruction. Now, because of more satellites it shows unobstructed view.

Re: Starlink system
Update on Starlink....
Amazing is all I can say! For those wanting connectivity in remote areas this is the way to go. After two years of flawless service I am very happy.
I did pick up a Starlink Mini kit recently. Way cool! I got it mainly for a backup but this Mini is so cool, small, the dish has modem/router built in. One power cord is all that connects to the Mini. Best news is that it runs on 12-48 volts DC. The Mini is only offered with the Roam service, so you can take the dish with you anywhere!
I've had it set up a couple times but didn't take any photos.
If anyone is still on the fence about Starlink, just do it! Way better than paying satellite phone fees and so much more versatile.
Here's a link that will get you a month of free service if you decide to go with Starlink.

Better yet I could stream some of those Gold shows and learn how to be a 'real miner' while feeding the washplant!

Dick
I can help you with that! When in doubt immediately remove the grizzly bars, what could possibly go wrong? You will need to practice your shocked look for when a boulder totals your whole system. No way you could see that coming.
