I dunno Chuck, I don't have one and I can read it. Sorry, they may do that so that we can't pass it around without subscribing.

Flocking?

Prospectors flocking to Fairbanks... Prospectors don't flock! :o

Somebody needs to tell the writer, Julie Stricker, she's confused.

Has anyone seen a flock of prospectors lately? :)

edit: corrected spelling of name.

Creative writing 101;

Gold prospectors Stampeding to Fairbanks! It's a Stampede! Felix Pedro "found" GOLD!

Stick around! There's more! :)

Jim,

It's $15.00 a month in round numbers. That's three gallons of Diesel. I can run almost half a day on that.

The story looks like it's about prospectors like Millrock. I have talked about Millrock before here on the forum. It's ran by a Geo that has a good "prospector" business model. Stake claims. Prove in a deposit. Pump it and dump it on a junior miner for a cash lease - option to buy plus production royalty.

It's a good model. Check out their website!

I found a flock of Two prospectors;

After looking at almost 6,000 recorded documents at the Fairbanks DNR Recorder's office, I found two large prospectors that have filed mining claim location notices this year. One had about 200 claims and the second had about 350 claims. The second was in the district but thirty miles from Fairbanks. I would note though as a matter of possible interest, there are other districts that are getting hit with large mining claim filings (500 claims to 1000 claims). :o

There's the usual number of small miners with half a dozen new claims around Fairbanks.

I thought the original article in the paper was interesting because one company had filed claims in Olnes, which is where Kurt has his operation. That may be the one you found Chuck, it is about thirty miles from Fairbanks.
