Hmmm, if it's in two pieces not sure I'd call it a single nugget !

My thoughts too,
Looking at the two pieces, one would need considerable imagination to think there is a connection between the two. The pieces don't fit well and the geometry doesn't flow from piece to piece.
It's hard to imagine GOLD forming in a "donut" shape. Every other shape but not anything resembling a circle.

We have urban legends and they have UK legends. That explains it perfectly for me.

Good article, however, I love the part where the discoverer says: "The fact that the nugget is in two pieces shouldn’t impact the rock’s value, he added", and he values it at $100,000. Anyway, the 2 pieces are not considered 1 Nugget but if it makes him feel good I guess that is OK.

Quite the "lumps" of gold. I wonder if you have to wear a kilt to hunt gold in the streams of Scotland?
Thanks for the link as I'd have never known about the discovery.
All the best,
Lanny

I guess wearing a Kilt while panning would be OK if you bend at the knees, just don't bend over if others are in the stream.

That would definitely negatively affect the desire to chase the gold!waveaction wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2020 2:18 pmI guess wearing a Kilt while panning would be OK if you bend at the knees, just don't bend over if others are in the stream.
