Hi Jim, tried to send some PMs and they just get stuck in my Outbox. Tried to send one to you to look into it and the same issue, hence me posting stuff not relevant to the forum. Can you check into it if you have a minute?

Interesting .... I just look at my PM box and I see a PM I sent back in January never sent.
It was sitting in the Outbox !

I run the same software on my forum and it hangs up every now and then for some reason. It just sits in the outbox.

The only advice I can give is to remember to click the "submit" button after writing the message.

Having the PM sending issue again. Write a PM, hit submit and it just goes to the 'Outbox' and never gets sent!
So heads up to forum members, when you send a PM make sure it actually sends.
I can see no way to get stuck ones to send out of the Outbox. Just have to delete and write a new one and hope that one sends !

I am really sorry Dick. I just can't make that happen on my end at all. All my private messages go to my out box, but they are sent and people reply. Are you sure they are not actually being sent?

How about you send me a test Pm and I will let you know if I get it. You check your out box and see if it is showing the same thing you think is happening.

It is late here, going to bed, I will look in the morning and tomorrow for your test PM.

Happens to me all the time here, and on 2 other forums as well. They always go straight to the out box but sometimes they stay in there forever. It sometimes seems that the PM gets stuck in the server until the recipient logs on before the PM is actually sent. No idea exactly how that works but, for sure, it isn't like email works.

As a consequence of that sort of thing I have tried, like Jim, to freely pass my email address around.
