Re: Gold Spot
Just a few days after hitting $2800 gold has gone up to $2870 ! $3000 gold might just beat us to springtime !
Dick, New projects ! I’m building my second floater, the new one will have a shaker plant, built lighter, more sluice runs and a 40 foot stacker, the new one will eventually have a house on it much like the old bucket line dredges which will allow me to run very early spring and late fall.

Re: Gold Spot
Damn... sounds ambitious Dan! You must be planning on upping your yardage.
I question your sanity on the "more sluice runs" part. If we look up 'glutton for punishment',
we'll see your name!

Re: Gold Spot
I question my sanity at times too Ha, I’m upping the yardage some but nothing drastic, my existing floater has 3 sluices, 2 on the front screen and one on the rear screen, the new setup is going to have a 2 screen deck, with 2 sluices on each size material, the existing floater could use a 4th sluice now as it gets pretty busy in that sluice at times.

Re: Gold Spot
$2900 Gold this morning !! Unreal. I'm thinking Dan might be right, $3,000 by Spring would be just crazy !!!
Creeks are likely to be crawling with "prospectors" this summer.

Re: Gold Spot
Gold price went up 3.6% in the last 10 days ! If this trend continues we could see $6000 gold by next year this time…. Wishful thinking..maybe but less than 24 hours after hitting $2900 gold is at $2926 as I type.

Re: Gold Spot
Yardage is king!
I agree with you, Bob. When I designed the Maxi-Banker, I could see the available wash plants were either hobby level or heavy commercial plants that cost way too much money!
I needed a plant that could be fabricated at reasonably low cost and run 50 yards an hour. I made three Maxi-bankers, shipped them from Arizona to Alaska and ran two plants in parallel. The third was a spare - used for parts if needed. I never needed spare parts! The Maxi-Banker was all-aluminum construction other than the 4 ft x 4 ft x 8 ft steel frame. I ran them ten years and fed them with two Bobcat loaders.
Running $20 per yard tailings looks good on paper, but... in real life, there are too many things that slow down production.
Good luck!
