Re: New prospect
Dan, Ya it wasn't too bad of a job. Years ago I had to pull the swing drive on a Hitachi UH083 machine. I had a devil of a time trying to get those bolts broke loose !! Finally a guy said "get you one of those heavy duty battery operated impact wrenches" ! I was skeptical but bought a Milwaukee 1/2"...

Re: New prospect
Well, it has been a slow start to the season. Very cool May was not beneficial to thawing ground! Finally getting some summertime weather so things are looking up :) . It will still be awhile before I can actually start washing some rocks though. Have had the usual equipment issues, part of mining. ...

Re: New prospect
Doug ... as you know can't really do too much this early. Lots of water running in the creek now though. I have been stripping off what is thawed so far and I did get to dig into the side of the old timers cut where they quit. Interesting deposit on this bench! Appears to not be an alluvial bench de...

Re: Test trommel
Well that heavy of a barrel can take the abuse for sure. I really dislike using a grizzly but sometimes it is a necessity. All depends on the ground. I have around 6,000 yds through this test plant of mine w/o a grizzly but I can see it is taking a toll on the drum. Although the drum is only 1/4" ma...

Sweet! Looks like a good start. What gauge is the barrel made of?
