I think we need to define terminology better. Lode is NOT placer and placer is NOT lode. Two entirely different terms and deposits.

Thanks for this Dick. I sent a link to your post to my friend down here that lives on a remote mining claim. He is also off grid and has internet and internet phone access, but he is always complaining about how slow it is.

When following this thread I got to wondering about the temperatures listed. I am not sure where these temps came from, but I do know one thing. The official all time low temp. was recorded at Prospect Creek Alaska in 1971. Here is what I found online about that record. "Alaska is famously freezing....

I make it a point to stay logged in. The forum hardly ever drops me, maybe once a year, so I just didn't notice I was logged out.
