Thanks for the intro! I mine in north central BC in the Omineca area so our real life paths may one day intersect.

I tend to target high benches away from the creek when prospecting. That way I can elect to machine mine it if it tests good and not have to worry about riparian boundaries.

So this isn't a hypothetical scenario? You actually went winter dredging on a river in Alaska in a extremely remote location and these posts are a post run down walk through?

Holy hells, that is some bad luck. A guy really has to have the desire and persistence to succeed in this game. Good luck out there and hopefully things start to go smoother.

Most of the gold is all flat flake sub 12 mesh. I haven't gotten any nugs but miners a couple miles upstream do.

Id love to get over to visit you and your operation this summer. I'm sure I could learn a lot. How did you determine to start mining on a high bench? is that where you've been mining all along? Yep, gold is mostly fine but it still pays lol. The deeper channels around Manson Creek and Germanson River have big nugs.
