Re: How much wood, could a woodchuck chuck, kinda
And also I’ll add after re reading this thread, I run about 200 yards per day and do a cleanup after 400 yards, three separate 24” by 16 foot sluice runs of expanded metal, a couple of nugget traps included yields about 10 gallons of minus 3/8” concentrates. Dan Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I am pre...

Re: How much wood, could a woodchuck chuck, kinda
And another thing? Joe you got me thinking about this as well with the amount of water being too much or not enough. Given the above parameters, after running 6 hours or so, how much cons would you expect to have? Reflecting on my earlier runs in 2023 I believe I was running it too flat. Probably en...

How much wood, could a woodchuck chuck, kinda
Happy New Year, I have a question for all you experienced dredgers and yes I know their is no "right answer". Here goes! How many yards per hour can you dredge under ideal conditions? I know, I know what do you mean by ideal? Depends on the dredge. Depends on the depth. Depends on the size of the ro...

Ok I went and checked out the information provided, appreciate the help! New question and map? What are the little yellow dots on certain parts of the river on this map? Its an old map but I cant get it to square with any of the topo map symbols that I have found.

Re: Old Topo Markings
This is the top of the map where I found this online. USGS 69-236. It appears to be overlaid on a topo map. It makes some notes about mining activity and refers to a "discontinuous placer"
Thanks for the help

Old Topo Markings
Good evening,
Is anyone familiar with the meaning of the marks on this old topo map? Lots of handwritten marks and no legend.
Thanks,
Easygoer

Unplugging Dredge Hose
How do you do it? First summer dredging, not a lot of plugs but enough. How do you remove them? Had to unhook the hose and drag it out to dry land one time to clear it. No fun with an 8" dredge hose!! I have a few ideas myself but my experience is extremely limited.
Fire away!!
Thanks,

Joe
Crazy busy! I am familiar with fine gold. This summer I found ONE piece of gold that was +16 in size. 90% of what we found was -30 or smaller. I will write more when able.

Re: Sackett's Victory !
I would like to think that this ruling will make a difference, at least for the Sackett's it will. As to the rest of us I am not sure. You can count on the fact that the real rulers of the country, the bureaucrats, are already plotting how to circumvent the highest court in the land. I did read the ...
